Firearms Safety Academy, Inc. is your local firearm transfer center. We are a licensed FFL dealer. In addition to selling firearms, Firearms Safety Academy, Inc. also facilitates transfers for gun purchases made online from out-of-state gun stores, or other out-of-state sources. Firearms cannot be shipped directly to you or your home. They must be shipped to an FFL transfer agent. If you are new to purchasing a firearm and having it shipped in, here is how it works:
1.) Purchase your firearm online, from your out-of-state gun shop, or from anyone else.
2.) A gun store will ask for an FFL certificate for the place that you want to have your firearm shipped to. Simply provide the email address where we can send a copy of our FFL certificate to the store you purchased the firearm from. Many places already have our certificate.
3.) Once the gun is purchased, text us a copy of the invoice, FOID and Driver’s License”.
4.) Call or text to make an appointment to perform a background check. If the background check is approved and the required 72 hour waiting period has passed from the date of purchase, you can pick up your gun.
5.) The cost is $25 per firearm transfer payable upon pick-up. No credit cards or checks.
