This is a great group class for a nominal fee if you want to learn firearms responsibility, safety, and proper shooting technique. Certified instructors teach the class. The class is limited to 5. A FOID Card is not required to take this course if we supply the shotgun.
The class is 3 hours long, consisting of 1 hour in the classroom and up to 2 hours on the range. The content of each class is:
- Promotion and demonstration of the safe handling of guns on the range
- Proper grip, sight picture, stance, breathing, and trigger control
- Live fire practice on our Training Range.
- How to deal with guns in the home
The cost of the class is $125.00, which includes the class and range time. You must bring your shotgun, 10 rounds of Buckshot, and 10 rounds of slugs.
Each student will receive a certificate of completion for the course.
To pass the course, students must show an acceptable level of safety and proficiency as determined by the instructor.
